          The 2014-15 season will be the Milwaukee Bucks 46^th season since the National Basketball Association first awarded the franchise to Milwaukee on January 22^nd, 1968. Looking back on the countless memories the Bucks have provided us with we can all agree that there have been some great

times. There has never been a higher moment for this franchise than during the 1970-71 season when we became World Champions with NBA legends Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson leading the way. With their jerseys waving high in the BMO Harris Bradley Center we can always take one look into the rafters and remember what makes this franchise so great. Unfortunately we may have looked at these jerseys too much during the 2013-14 season but our team has persevered, never held their heads down, and embraced this season as a learning experience.           As was the case in 1969 and 1970 the Milwaukee Bucks are simply one move away from becoming one of the premier franchises in the NBA once again. Following the Bucks' inaugural season, with a record of 27-55, the Bucks drafted Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (formerly known as Lew Alcindor) with the first overall

choice in the 1969 NBA Draft. With the addition of Kareem the Bucks rose to second place in the Eastern Conference the very next season in 1969-70 with an overall 56-26 record. During that off-season the Bucks traded for NBA legend Oscar Robertson, thereby punching the ticket for their NBA Title during the 1970-71 season. This is not to say, by any means, that a Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will be in this upcoming draft because it’s not fair to expect someone to be one of the greatest NBA players of all time straight out of college. Nor does it go without saying that an Oscar Robertson, the only man to ever average a triple-double during an entire season, comes around every day. But the chances are very high that with a protected top three draft pick this summer, a great player will become an intrinsic part of the Milwaukee Bucks organization for many years to come.
